I contacted killshift one of their community managers and wanted to be moderator to set up at least a design, flairs and links for this subreddit but I only got: we have future plans. They closed the forum with the announcement of a new one which was around nine to ten month ago. My.com not helping: the publisher isn't that helpfull either.

You will wait literally for month before a update with content hits the server and it will be so minor that a lot if people don't count such things as content Because of the Ascension Update a lot less people play the game and there is very little information on the net to get you started (shameless self plug: for this reason I made the blog )Ĭontent drought: There are barely any real updates that deliver content. Game explains shit: At some point you hit a brick wall with the difficulty of monsters and the game doesn't explain you whats going on. Which alienated and angered the exisiting community which left. "Before the Ascension Update everything was better" : The Update simplified a lot if mechanics. There are several points to it why it has its rating: Currently it takes a lot longer to unlock your first non-starting class and even longer to unlock classes afterwards. Initially you could have your first advanced class unlocked in a couple of weeks and then you got new classes progressively faster until you had them all. There is also a theoretical cap on power but it is increased every couple of months or so - faster than you could ever reach it without paying.Īnother thing that changed with the Ascension update was the time it took to unlock new classes. Basically there is a cap to how much you can progress daily and that cap can be only surpassed by paying. There are some small endgame exceptions to that but you are probably not going to see them if you are coming in late because of the basically endless progression. The only way to actually die in the game is to not have enough stats because the AoE are so easy to avoid. Still they kept the unavoidable "basic" attacks. It was significantly increased to the point that aoe abilities are basically no thread. Basically the RPG elements were pretty much removed from the game with the update.Īnother thing that changed in the Ascension update is the combat reaction time for aoe abilities. There were also stats that made you play differently but they are now a homogenized mess with no depth. Having builds alleviated some of that by providing several ways to play a class which increased replayability. The problem with missing builds is that the game is otherwise repetitive.

They actually removed the most useful builds and skills during the Ascension update - they removed a lot of the the good and fun builds and they kept the bad and not fun builds.
